The first time I met Tristan Jemsek, central figure and primary songwriter of Dogbreth, he was drumming for the band Diners and selling his own photocopied headshots including photocopied signature to help raise funds for a car repair. It’s that kind of creativity, joy and honesty that Tristan can’t help but inject into the tunes of Dogbreth. Their most recent release, 2016’s ‘Second Home’ helped showcase their upbeat pop-alt-rock sound that will have you toe-tapping if not outright jumping around, Tristan and company always deliver an incredible show and it’s very exciting to bring them back to Santa Barbara.
Josh Redman, ukulele extraordinaire and solo member of Cave Babies, has long been a welcoming staple of the local music community. A longtime host of the incredible 5…4…3…2…fun!! radio show on KCSB-FM 91.9 in Santa Barbara, Josh’s music ranges from outright goofiness to heartbreaking honesty – sometimes all in the same song.
Pop-rock duo Share is the closest FUNZONE ever had to having a ‘house band’ and definitely either hold the distinction (or share it with Cave Babies) of being the band that played at the old space the most. Justin and Uli work together to craft loud songs about very real feelings of emotional connection, identity and friendship
Please bring $5.00 for the touring bands + additional money for merchandise.
